Smokey Robinson confirms that biopic about his life and career is in the works

ABC/Image Group LASmokey Robinson is bringing his life story to the big screen. The legendary King of Motown gives Extra‘s Tanika Ray some insight into his forthcoming biopic.

“The guys who did [the 2004 Ray Charles biopic] Ray are doing a script on my life to make a movie,” he explains. When asked which actor he’d want to portray him in the film, Smokey says, “I don’t know. I have a few people in mind.”

While we’re waiting for that movie, you can check out Smokey’s new holiday album, Christmas Everyday, which features original songs and holiday classics like “The Christmas Song,” “White Christmas” and “O Holy Night” — that last song features popular vocal group Take 6.
