The site’s administrator, Christian Davies, whose dad is Kinks guitarist Dave Davies, revealed the happy news and also posted two photos of the couple, apparently taken at the reception near London.
“Congratulations to Mick Avory and Marliesa on their wedding today!” Christian wrote.
No other details of the nuptials are known.
The 73-year-old Avory played with The Kinks from the band’s formation in 1964 until 1984, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the group in 1990.
In recent years, Avory has performed with The Kast Off Kinks, a band featuring several former Kinks members that plays regular club shows around the U.K. The group’s next gig is scheduled for January 26 at the Arlington Arts Centre in Newbury.
