BMGRolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards will release a 30th anniversary edition of his 1988 debut solo album Talk Is Cheap on March 29. The remastered record will be available as a CD, a vinyl LP, digitally and as Deluxe and Super Deluxe box sets.

Richards co-produced and co-wrote the album with drummer Steve Jordan. Talk Is Cheap also features guitarist Waddy Wachtel, bassist/drummer Charley Drayton and keyboardist Ivan Neville who, along with Jordan, became Keith’s solo backing group, The X-pensive Winos.

The album also includes contributions from ex-Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, Labelle singer Sara Dash, sax players Bobby Keys and Maceo Parker, keyboardist Chuck Leavell, bassist Bootsy Collins, E Street Band backing vocalist Patti Scialfa and longtime Chuck Berry pianist Johnnie Johnson.

Talk Is Cheap peaked at #24 on the Billboard 200 and has sold more than 500,000 copies in the U.S. It includes the rock radio hit “Take It So Hard.”

The Talk Is Cheap box sets features 180-gram vinyl and CD versions of the original 11-song album, plus extra discs with six bonus tracks.

The expanded collections also include two seven-inch vinyl singles; an 80-page hardback book featuring a new interview with Richards and an essay by acclaimed rock journalist Anthony DeCurtis; and memorabilia such as a tour laminate, lyric sheets and a guitar pick and posters.

The Super Deluxe box set comes packaged in a special casing that looks like Keith’s prized Fender electric guitar, nicknamed “Micawber.”

One of the deluxe sets’ bonus tracks is a cover of the Jimmy Reed classic “My Babe.” You can check out a new lyric video for the song at Richard’s YouTube channel. The track is available as a digital single now.
