ZZ Top lines up new 2020 Las Vegas residency, Canadian tour leg

Courtesy of Live NationAs ZZ Top prepares to bring 2019 to a close with a pair of late-December concerts, the band has announced plans for a new Las Vegas residency at The Venetian Resort’s Venetian Theatre in March 2020.

The five-show engagement is scheduled for March 20, 21, 25, 27 and 28.

Tickets for the new concerts will go on sale to the general public this Friday, December 20, at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster.com, Venetian.com, box offices at the resort, or by calling 866-641-7469.

Pre-sale tickets will be available to ZZ Top fan club members starting Tuesday, December 17, at 10 a.m. PT, and to Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers and Grazie loyalty members beginning December 18, at 10 a.m. PT.

ZZ Top previously played residencies at The Venetian in April 2018 and this past January and February.

Meanwhile, the Texas trio has just scheduled a 2020 Canadian tour leg that kicks off April 29 in Victoria, British Columbia, and is plotted out through a May 23-24 stand in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

The band’s remaining 2019 concerts take place December 29 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and New Year’s Eve in Durant, Oklahoma. The band also has 2020 U.S. gigs lined up on February 14 at the San Antonio Stock & Rodeo event; on April 22 in El Paso, Texas; and on April 25 at the Stagecoach 2020 festival in Indio, California.
